Pranada is the founder and owner of Amrita Healing Arts and has over 14 years of professional experience in the healing arts. She has worked as a Massage and Bodywork therapist in private practice, in clinical settings and at some of the top spas in California and Hawaii. She is currently in private practice in Nevada City, CA where she recently moved.
After receiving her BA in Cultural Anthropology, Pranada found her passion and gift in the healing arts. She received Advanced Massage and Bodywork Certification through the Harbin School of Healing Arts. There she learned and fell in love with Cranial Sacral Therapy and is continuing her studies in Visionary Cranialsacral. She went on to pursue Energy Medicine and Somatic Emotional Clearing with Bruce Burger, founder of Heartwood Institute. In Thailand and India she pursued Traditional Thai Massage through the Sunshine Network. Her bodywork sessions reflect a wealth of knowledge paired with intuitive and compassionate touch that works on the physical as well as energetic body.
Pranada has passionately studied nutrition since she was a teenager, including at the college level, specifically vegetarian nutrition. She also offers Wellness Lifestyle Consultations that are based in the tradition of Yoga and naturopathy. She owns and operates an online organic Superfood Nutrition Store and writes about holistic health and yoga. Pranada is currently studying Ayurveda with Dr David Frawley and the Institute of Vedic Studies.
Pranada's yoga privates combine practical and grounded tools for opening the body to grace, alignment and healing with a devotional mood that allows the mind to relax and make way for the heart to shine through. She has trained in Classical, Anusara, Ashtanga and Iyengar styles of Yoga in India and the U.S. with some of the most brilliant and experienced teachers in the world including John Friend, Noah Maze, Desiree Rumbaugh, Samantha Shakti and has completed over 500 hours of teacher training. She learned meditation at Sivananda Yoga Ashram and has continued to deepen her practice under the guidance of Ammachi, whose ashram she visits regularly.
Pranada also loves to travel and to explore wild and sacred places of Earth, swim in rivers, and hike through magical forests. Her interests include organic gardening, permaculture, ayurveda, herbal plant medicines and the planetary reawakening of the Divine Feminine. She gives deep gratitude and reverence for all her teachers and the Great Ones who have shown us the Way of true healing by reminding us of our True Nature. Peace. Awareness. Love.
